creative writing Ph.D programs

I'm so not going to SFSU for a creative writing program (MFA). I refuse to go back to that. I'd rather join the Counseling department. Let me settle my goals here ( Read more... )

Why not just bypass the associate's degrees and go straight for the bachelor's? Also, do you really need all those bachelor's? It might be easier -- and certainly cheaper -- to just pick one.

I kind of feel I need more than one degree because a BA is useless in this world that's fueled by Masters and Ph.D.s more than it is by a BA. Many people are underemployed.

I can see going for a master's and/or doctorate, but it seems like a waste of time to have so many BAs and BSs. And once you have a BA, it really doesn't make sense to go back and do so many associate's. That doesn't show employers that you have a good knowledge base. It shows them that you're very good at going to class for a long time.

Yeah, I know but then again, what if it proves to the world that you have many skills and aren't useless?

But with just degrees, that's not what you're showing. You need the practical experience to back-up the parchment.
