In which I recount what I did yesterday
The weather being better, yesterday was spent driving down to Grafham Water, where there were still 5 black terns showing well. *sigh of relief*. However, there were once more no hobbies in the area; has something happened to Cambridgeshire in terms of hobbies? Until 3 years ago you could be absolutely certain of them at Paxton Pits ( I once saw 6 of them at once hawking low over the water for insects like a flock of giant swallows). Last year, and this, sightings have been few there. Hobby is fast becoming a bogy bird...anyone know a good site for them anywhere else...soon?
Garage has finally taken my car away with a view to fixing it. *another sigh of relief* And only 8 days after I first asked them to find out why my clutch pedal was not working as it ought, too. Not that they've given me any clear idea when it might be coming back, but...
