Anrakuji

After that and a short AJET meeting (during which we were shown the last year’s AJET musical - well, very few people remember it, as most of us were happily asleep), we were loaded into the bus and taken to the Anrakuji temple at Kamiita. Now, that is the place to cure your hungover. It gives the word “peaceful” a whole new meaning. We had some free time, and I wandered around, poking into every corner. It was absolutely beautiful, serene, quiet and had some other quality that I really can’t find a word for. The closest word, I guess, would be “sacred”.

I lived in an Orthodox convent once, and now I lived in a Buddhist retreat, and one thing is definitely true - the food is good! The food in the religious institutions is always great for some reason.
