To begin with, you were in here before I arrived. Furthermore, the door is the only viable entrance -- at the least, I would think that even a Great Thief could not squeeze through such high and narrow windows [he points up at them] without ruining a cake of that size in the process. Additionally, the table is quite visible from the door, or indeed any point in the room, and there is noplace else to put it where it could not get stepped on. Finally -- [he turns around and starts pointing out features of the door] -- the door itself has a loud latch, is heavy, and has a pneumatic door closer, making stealth quite impossible.
