[STEPPING IN FRONT OF THE CAKE LIKE A BOSS.]

Mr. Edgeworth!

RNGs seem to love imposing greed onto the thief, don''t they? truthsnomiracle April 11 2011, 06:13:38 UTC
Is something the matter, Kay?

I seem to have pretty interesting luck with these RNGs. dedikayted April 11 2011, 06:26:33 UTC
N-no, nothing! Nothing at all! [Her eyes dart this way and that.]

Your demeanor contradicts your testimony, Kay.

No, it doesn't! You gotta have evidence to back it up, that's what you always say! [She was caught so completely off-guard that Edgeworth might notice what she's hiding.]

You are showing obvious signs of anxiety -- an expression of horror and paranoid glancing about, more specifically -- while also attempting to obstruct my view of that cake.

...What cake? [OKAY how does a Great Thief steal this cake.]

The white one with a white-colored frosting on the outside, strawberries on top, and red frosting between the layers that I presume is also strawberry-flavored, which is sitting on the table directly behind you.

Huh? [She glances quickly over her shoulder and proceeds to play the oblivious card.]

Oh. Hey, there's a cake here!

Indeed there is -- one that I propose you were already well aware of the existence of.

No, I wasn't! Your eyes are just playing tricks on you! Yeah!

To begin with, you were in here before I arrived. Furthermore, the door is the only viable entrance -- at the least, I would think that even a Great Thief could not squeeze through such high and narrow windows [he points up at them] without ruining a cake of that size in the process. Additionally, the table is quite visible from the door, or indeed any point in the room, and there is noplace else to put it where it could not get stepped on. Finally -- [he turns around and starts pointing out features of the door] -- the door itself has a loud latch, is heavy, and has a pneumatic door closer, making stealth quite impossible.

[She's speechless. And backed into a corner. VERY backed into a corner.]

O-objection! [Weakest objection ever. Even with much exaggerated pointing of the finger.]
