Day #01
So, I am now in tech school. w00t! And I have good news and bad news.
The good news: I gotz the interwebz on my laptop again! Yay!
The bad news: I can't get the wireless in my room. Muah...I have to sit in this room in order to get it so no staying up past 10pm to hang out. At least for now. Hopefully I'll be able to have it in my room at California. I also can't download from iTunes or LimeWire or anything like that on this connection. Boo...I want new music. *sigh*
Tech school is ridiculously different from BMT. Students our age appointed as "element leaders" are actually the ones who take of us and the like instead of a Sergeant. Which is a bit of a relief. We have an MTL (military training leader), but they're mostly for the dormitory, making sure our rooms are in inspection order and that we're in our rooms by curfew. And our day ends at 5:00, meaning we have five hours of free time to do whatever we want. We have weekends off except for those who have details, we can have food in the room, and on Sundays we can actually sleep in. We can take naps, too, on our time off. My classes don't start until the 10th. And then four weeks later, I leave off to the next step of tech school. Hu-ah!
It feels weird. I really miss the girls in my flight. A few of them are here with me, but it just doesn't seem right with all of them gone.
I have a lot to unpack tonight. I'm gonna be up a while. *sigh*
I can have food in my dorm, too. Anything I want to eat. 8D *happy*
They're going to have a big jamboree/party/celebration thingie on the 4th which is going to be awesome. What's even more awesome is that now that we're in tech school, we can talk to the guys all we want and not get in trouble! 8D There are lots of cuties here, too. I finally found that one guy: Joseph Coppalla. He and I had the same recruiter and came here to BMT together. He's really sweet and really cute, too. I couldn't stop thinking of him and wondering if he was doing all right the entire time I had been in basic. I hope I'll be able to keep in contact with him. We'll see....XD
