a few new S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl screencaps
Can you tell I love S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s day/night and weather cycles? The skies are always so beautiful.
(I recently started a Thief 2 fan mission, my first in what seems like a year as I've mostly just played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and The Dark Mod. I love the original Thiefs and don't usually put too much emphasis on graphics [e.g., the original System Shock is one of my favourite games], but the old graphics were definitely a shock.)
On the Cyrillic text: I wonder if the decision not to translate it was made to preserve the original feel or to save on translation costs. (I can read Cyrillic, but am not familiar with many Ukrainian words, so the effect is more like a kindergartner sounding out words for the first time.)
