Virginia Tekken
It doesn't quite feel right creating a Livejournal entry on a computer that is not my own, especially when it's a large fruity-looking thing that sits before me in the library at Virginia Tech. But my computer, while functional and sporting a brand-new LCD flat-panel display, is not internet-ready, and will not be until I get a cable modem hooked up next week. Twenty dollars a month! Christ! I would have paid thrice that much, and with thanks.
I can't really pick any one thing to write about, so I'll just run them by quickly.
I have a new cellphone, which is very nice looking. I didn't realize how much I was using it until a few days ago, which makes me wish I could add Free Nights & Weekends to it or something like that. It would certainly be worth another ten bucks a month or so.
I also have no access to my bank, as the closest branch is probably in North Carolina, so I need to make a new account with a local bank within the next few days.
Some crazy lady tried to cut across two lanes of traffic to make a right hand turn, but never got to the second lane because I was in the first. My car carries a battle scar of a rough spot of paint and a tiny dent in my rear wheel. Hers got knocked the fuck out, as it should be. I was extremely about calling a cop to investigate, and upon arrival the crazy lady lied her ass off. Luckily for me, the officer understood the laws of physics and realized each story she fed him violated them. Thus, he believed me and placed the fault entirely upon her in the report.
I had to drive to Roanoke to get my new monitor. Fucking Roanoke.
I miss my family a little, though it's been less than a week. I really do miss my friends, though.
Shit, the library is closing. I'll write more at the next opportunity.
