Eeeeeeeeee...FONDUE!
Last Monday, I was kindly invited by a long time friend of mine, Hellbender, to join him and a little gathering of furs at a nearby restaurant called "The Melting Pot". I had heard about the place but never had a chance to go there and I must confess, it was quite a culinary experience.
For starters, there was a nice cheese fondue. We had vegetables, apples and of course some bread to dip it in and needless to say that Mr. Ratty sitting next to me enjoyed this part of the meal very much. We had to tie him down to make sure he didn't jump in the pot and drink up the whole thing! Afterward, we had a salad (Ewwwww...healthy food) and finally the main course....MEAT...ALL KINDS OF MEAT....THAT YOU DIP IN BOILING BROTH/OIL TO COOK! That made the carnivore in me very happy. And finally, once we were all full and barely able to breathe...BOOM...CHOCOLATE FONDUE!!! I swear to God, there is a hidden compartment in the stomach that suddenly opens up to allow just enough room for dessert after you already had a huge meal.
Besides the great food and drinks, the company was really pleasant as well. It was my first time joining a bunch of furries for a gathering and I was a bit nervous in the beginning. And even though I don't think they'll see this journal entry, I want to thank Elrabin and Hellbender first and foremost for inviting me to join them. Also, it was fun to hang around with Matthais, DNA and Tigra (I think that was her name...not sure though). They were a fun and merry bunch and I hope I didn't make too much of a fool of myself while there. :3
