Karen and I finally broke down and bought our airplane tickets to London today. I'm so excited! The official plan is to fly into Heathrow on Dec 11 th, stay in London for 7 days, take the chunnel to Paris, and stay in Paris for three days. Then we're flying from Paris to back to Heathrow, where we have a five hour lay over before flying back to Phili. We're flying in and out of Phili so that Karen can board her cats at her parents' house while we're gallivanting around Europe. Now all I have to do is find one way tickets from Phili to Cinci (or more likely to Dayton or Louisville) and from Ky back to Raleigh. The trip to London means that I'll only be home for a few days over Christmas, but it'll be so worth it.

Karen also discovered a tour group that has special days where you can actually go into Stonehenge. Most people don't realize that they have Stongehenge fenced in now, so you typically can't go near the stones. Tourists were chipping away at the stones to get a piece as a souvenir and ruined it for the rest of us. The tour is fairly expensive, but it includes the bus ride out there and breakfast. We're afraid that the tours will fill up, so I went ahead and booked ours today as well. I really can't wait. All I need now is for my passport to come in the mail, and I'll be wishing December was here (minus the cold weather). As soon as this trip's over, I'll have to start saving to go visit Renea while she's in Germany. I love traveling!
