Twilight=R.O.T.F.L.M.A.O. EMPHASIS MINE.
I just came back from watching Twilight. As I mentioned in a previous post, I've never read the books, but, I know from the summaries on the Internet, specifically Cleolinda's LJ and ONTD. And, I liked it.
No spoilers here, but just to be safe, my thoughts are under the *dazzling* cut.
It was funny when it was supposed to be, the action was pretty good, too. Peter Facinelli was hot, and Elizabeth Reaser was very pretty. Yes, I am shallow, thanks for asking.
But the best part? It was LOLZ. Like, EPIC LOLZ. I was laughing for about half of the movie, and I spent the rest of the time smiling like crazy, trying not to laugh. I mean, seriously; everything was setting me off. JACOB'S WIG, BELLA'S FRIENDS (THE ASIAN GUY, WHAT), THE WHOLE *SPARKLE* THING. LOLARIOUS. AND ALSO: BLACK MORMON!!! IT SUCKS THAT HOUSE DIDN'T HIRE YOU, BB. I actually felt bad, because I went with my oldest sister and her friend. Neither of them have heard of the books and they went because the movie looked interesting to them. Needless to say, I think there were times when my sister regretted inviting me, even though they thought the movie was lame in some parts.
ALSO, there was this guy at the back of the theater. When something action-y happened, and when the Cullens were all SAVING THE DAY OMG, he was like: "YEAH, WHOO!" *CLAP* *CHEER*. IT MADE THE WHOLE THING EVEN FUNNIER AND AWESOMER. There was also a girl sitting a few seats away from me, telling her friend about the plot (of the book, and hence, the movie).
But seriously. The movie was entertaining in that it made me laugh (VERY MUCH, EVEN WHEN IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO), and it was actually kind of interesting.
So, while Twilight still, and will always be < Harry Potter, the movie was enjyoyable.
