[VID] BODY LANGUAGE - Paula Abdul
I love working with dance because timing is my favorite thing ever about vidding, and dance, obviously, gives me so much to work with. AND! I also think it's so so fun and fulfilling to see a section of choreography fit a song it was never intended for.
I. LOVE. WATCHING. HER DANCE. SHE IS ELECTRIC. And it's so funny to me to watch this back because it is SO different than the nice judge she plays on American Idol. I made this particular video to play up her sex appeal & unique style. She is sexy, you'd never guess, seriously. So balls out fearless and risque with some of these moves. Like, she had a video that was banned from MTV because it was too hot. But that is okay because that's what dance IS. Dance IS derived from and meant to communicate sex. And IDK, she just always really put herself out there. She didn't seem to care about being really exposed or vulnerable - she ALWAYS left her heart out on the floor.

I made a dance video for her before (What A Feeling ♥) but that only consisted of clips from her music videos. This one's got a bunch of old live performances and clips from her tours. I don't really have a lot to say on this one - there's no deep story behind it or anything, it's just meant to be visual and self-explanatory. I'd totally do commentary to point out some timing but seriously, it'd be the whole thing. Commentary would be redundant lol. SO JUST PLEASE WATCH FOR IT, K. ♥ But I will say,
2:40 = !! If you only could have seen my reaction to the first time I saw that.
4:18 = the passion. on. her face.
