I got my acceptance letter from Dawson yesterday.
It's official, this fall I'll be going back to school, in Illustration and Design. It's been a long time coming. Four years ago I applied to this program and got shuffled onto a waiting list.
It's good to know the insane amount of work I've done in the interim didn't go to waste.

Re: books and writing-- Roku Kyu and I teamed up and are doing our own version of NaNoWriMo for the month of May. With a goal of 1,000 words a day (for a total of 31,000 words) with no self editing allowed, I hope to make some significant progress. ^^

Was totally pumped that I did a little over 1900 words in about two hours of writing yesterday. Very sure that I won't be maintaining that hectic pace when the starting burst of adrenaline fades and the day to day slog begins. ^_~

I remember feeling like that while slogging through all the finishing touches on my portfolio. One day I'd feel awesome and pump out a whole pile of stuff, next day I'd be like "I NEVER WANT TO SEE PAINT EVER AGAIN WAAAAH".
