(no subject)
Bloody bastard of a dog decided to start barking at 5 in the morning. Oh well. So I've been up and wandering around since then. I'm a morning person anyway.
Yesterday was my birthday get-together with family (and xenoman!) at my grandma's apartment in Lasalle.
Leigh gave me a cool little dolphin wall ornament - my parents gave me it's brother, along with a really awesome TV. Nanny and Grandpa gave me money and a little dolphin that blinks. Grandad gave me this, which is a Royal Doulton figurine... it belonged to my grandmother (the one with Alzheimer's), which she brought from Scotland a long time ago.
I was surprised - my family was on their best behavior. Which means there were no major arguments and nothing got broken. :)
Hung out with Chiara and Scourge in the afternoon for a bit, watching silly TV shows.
Plans for today - heading over to Lisa's for her b-day get together. Spent this morning whipping up a fruit salad and a tomato salad to bring.
Tomorrow: Is my actual birthday. Am not having a huge get-together - that'll be next week, incorporated into an open-invite Bacio's run (details will follow in the next couple of days). Tomorrow I'll drag my high-school buddies (hear that, tenshikitsune? You busy?), being Andrea, Jess, and Jen, for some cake and hanging out.
