I just realised how long ago it was since I actually posted something of my own on here and didn't just reply to other people. I've generally been too busy and my life can't be said to be that interesting so I thought it would be a kindness not to. Hmm, so, things that have happened in my life since I posted last. The beginning of the end is nigh with my first year here at Newcastle, everything is handed in and now I'm entering the two weeks of hell known as exam period. I've confirmed that I'm coming up to stay in Sheffield for 1 month starting early July, so you'll all have to be really nice to me and make me feel welcome. This involves learning my name and not calling me Hackett's sister, which I've commonly been known as for the past 21 years. Ooo, nearly 22, cos my birthday will be mid July so feel free to get me smashed (my birthday falls on a Sunday, so perhaps not too smashed, or the wrapping paper on my present may clash with a hangover). In more separate news, my brother got engaged since I last posted on here. blimey doesn't time fly. Anyway, I've determined that he and Vicky will have to get married in a big extravagent way, to please the parents, seeing as I don't plan on marrying. I will be crazy Aunt Louise, but there will be no sprogs of my own. However, with Matt getting married I have realised that its probably about time that I started maturing a little and stopped being such a child. So any tips on being an adult would be of great use. I don't know, maybe if I just start buying the independant I can bluff my way into adult circles.
Right, must now buy train tickets to cambridge for a stupid conservation conference thing. Bloody train tickets always cost so much damn money. The state of the train service and tickets prices these days. When I was young you could get from Newcastle to London, buy lunch, shop at Harvey nicks and come back home and still have change from a fiver.
