So yesterday after Tim and his folks got back from Florida, I went to school for a walk in advising session with the college of Arts and Sciences. I got to see Cheryl Sullivan who was my class advisor before so I was very happy to work with someone who not only remembered me, but was understanding and willing to work with me about my classes.
yeah, my classes...
i need 12 of them still
that's a lot more than i had thought i needed...
even if i go full time (12 credit hours = 3 classes) it may take 1 and a half years to finish!
3 of the classes i've taken before but did poor in them (ok, failed 2 because i didn't drop them in time) but at least when i retake them, it will seriously boot up my overall GPA (right now i'm at 2.47) i'm so much better than a C-...
I'll have to retake multicultural communication and Communication Theory...
I get to retake Classical Mythology, this time i'll attend class so i won't fail from attendence .... i love mythology too...
my final year of college was a waste. i didn't earn any of the attempted credits mainly because as a student mooching off a 4 year full tuition scholorship, and living on campus, and being involved more in On campus activities than class... i wasn't setting my priorities up correctly... i like to think i've matured just a little bit.
I also found out that my COM 399 class isn't so much an internship, but a 60 hour community service (unpaid) requirement within my field.
And i hope they teach another semantics corse so i don't need to take spanish to meet my language requirement...
so 12 classes.
right now 1 class (4 credit hours) = $1,104.00 and that may change this summer for next fall.
I already have a direct loan, and i'm lookin into scholorships.
i really want to take a summer class while i have this momentum, but with Tim in school for Paramedic, the house needing more repairs, and work limited to less than 40 hours (anti-doubletime... grrr) I don't know if it is possible.
i couldn't save $10 let alone $1000 right now.
Okay, enought pity party for me.
schoo,
ou,
classes
