Alas I work in the middle of nowhere, but there's this vending machine nearby but everytime I give in and get a chocolate bar it's already expired. NO FUN. I eat it nevertheless.

I'm still waiting for 'The Martian' on DVD and I haven't seen Poltical Animals yet but I WILL BE HERE FOR MARK WATNEY/TJ HAMMOND IT LOOKS PRETTY, so please post about any future developments in that ship *g*

I'm kind of scared by the scale of this bang, ngl, although I have very strong suspicions that only 70% of the authors are serious about writing a thing. My experience with Tumblr tells me that a lot of those sign-ups may be very impulsive, perhaps. BUT STILL. Loads of new Steve/Bucky can't be wrong!

Mark would totally get invited to the White House after he returned from Mars, right? And TJ (who has been following the whole debacle closely, and whose crush has probably ballooned out to about the size of a parade float at the epic scope of Mark's snark) - totally puts himself in Mark's way, and is all, Hey hey hey... I bet it was cold and lonely on Mars. Want me to warm you up?

Does this come with a side of Mark's longing for his teammate Beck, who looks disturbingly like TJ? I could see it going either way.

YES! We have absolutely explored these angles in our preliminary chats and some of the planning has involved:
- Mark visiting the White House
- T.J following his story way back and then really pushing to Bring Him Home
- Mark hitting it off with Margaret to a disgusting degree
- T.J getting to converse with Mark before he returns home
(some of these things do not happen in the same story, we're both working on stuff at the moment)

But honestly, I just really love this weird ship so much, I'll do anything to get more. INCLUDING WRITE SOME MYSELF \o/

I'm envisioning TJ being all in awe of how put together and stable Mark is (he survived 500 days all alone on an entire planet!) and convinced that Mark would never be interested in TJ Hammond, human wreck.

For maximum angst, Mark doesn't catch on immediately to how invested TJ is in him: he's just desperate for human contact, and here TJ is practically throwing himself at him, and TJ is acting like it's all casual and stuff but secretly suffering inside about how of course Mark will never really love him.
