Scorpius looked at his father surreptitiously, taking in his defeated appearance and wondered what secrets he carried that made him look so desolate, so alone. His father hadn't noticed Scorpius looking and Scorpius certainly wasn't going to make himself known, so he quietly withdrew from the library. He had an inkling but couldn't, of course, be sure. Once safe in his room he pulled out parchment and quill and jotted down a letter to Albus. Hoping he was wrong, Scorpius sealed the letter and owled it. He was in love, and his father would just have to live with it.
