i really like both Lobo and Noble. as far as comics go, i'm far more into indie comics... stuff by Jim Mahfood, Chris Ware, Brian Lee O'Malley, etc. Lobo carries lots of that type of stuff (as well as traditional comics) and they are very nice and knowledgeable. Noble is strictly anime and superhero stuff. they have a large selection, but i generally go there for used video games. they sell card based gaming stuff and sports cards as well. they are pretty nice too, but again, i'm not much into superhero comics or anime. the last one i read was 'Danger Girl' and that was years ago.

Tall Tales is HUGE (for albuquerque) and has lots of toys as well, but the people there have been dicks everytime i've been in. right across the street from Tall Tales (literally) is a place called Magic Moments. its much smaller, and i havent been there in years, but the people there were much nicer and more willing to help. its mostly sports and star wars stuff though.

then there is Astro Zombies down by the university. i'm sure the bulk of the people in this community would recommend that place. its a cool place, but i dont like going downtown and the people there have ALWAYS been dicks to me... even when i dont bother them with questions. still, they've got lots of cool stuff, lots of rare action figures and whatnot.

i guess we have a lot to choose from. welcome to albuquerque!

No kidding. I have to drive for over an hour to get to my closest place (a large part of the reason why I've gotten into the habit of only picking up my standing order every couple of months).
