Do you play games other than roleplaying? We have a gaming circle, but the RPGs are currently full. We hold fairly regular card/board game nights, and we usually use that group of people to build rpg groups when we need 'em.

You just enjoy making all parts of your life an rpg.

I used to CCG - at one point, I would have counted myself as one of the best players of the Star Trek CCG in the United Kingdom, and probably in the world. Sadly, with how things worked out, I was never able to display that to the rest of the community, and now I'm more in search of a roleplaying group that I can just relax with and have an evening away from the wife. We're both going to be in a new city and I'm expecting to have to find a new life for myself, and roleplaying is an easy entry to that.
Other games wise, I'm looking for something more immersive. I probably don't want to eat up my time for a couple of weeks (I'll be moving to Albuquerque the weekend of the 18th) but after that, if you could point me in the right direction then I'd love to start playing.

Yeah, I was in that place three years ago, except for the international aspect. I found it challenging to build a good post-college group, but since then some good resources have sprung up. In my current circle, we're reluctant to bring someone into an RPG, which could go for a long time, without doing short-term game stuff like card/board first. Also, it's a couples-friendly group (there are currently three couples in the group), so it's not really a guys' night out kind of group.

However, it looks like quite a few openings are posted to http://www.nmgcf.com/. There's a gamers' LJ community, abqgamers, that doesn't get a lot of action but has a decent number of readers if you want to post there.
