Three days ago: coming home (to Jersey) from Goucher (just outside of Baltimore) was hell this year.
Hell.
Despite getting sleep I managed to become completely exhausted between packing and driving, which I balanced out with a Red Bull. Left college late because mother went 'WAT U CANNOT LEAVES ANYTHEENG PACK IT ALL IN UR CAR WAT'. I had wanted to make two trips to minimize the danger in overloading my small car. Oh well. Ended up leaving Katy with too much of my stuff to store, which I feel guilty about. Got on the road late. Was annoyed. Was further annoyed when I realized I had left the DVDs I had wanted to borrow and not returned my room keys.
The road was easy going until five miles before the junction of 95, 295, and 495, where construction had closed three lanes of 95. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. It took me four and a half-ish hours to get to Philadelphia. It normally takes between one-and-a-half and two. Had lunch with Andrea at a really neat Chinese place on eighth street, which was pleasant. Jacked up on another Red Bull, then left. I really, really should've stayed the night and said 'fuck it' to everyone who wanted me home the day before, because that was the most frightening driving I have ever done. I think I nodded off at the wheel. Twice. Somehow, I am not dead - probably because I kept stopping whenever I saw a rest area to pace circles around my car as a wake-up tactic. At least there was no traffic on the way back from Philadelphia to Jersey.
Lots of people came to help me move my stuff in from my car when I called (Nick, Keira, James, and Nellie). It took us a grand total of three trips, and about six minutes. It was awesome. Went to a small bonfire at Nick's after dragging everything upstairs, which I slept through most of - but it was pleasant. Also, the 360 has randomly begun working again~
Two days ago: Mother's Day. Went to a tennis club near Janet's for brunch with Janet, the demon nephews, Tom, his sister Allie, their mother Mary Jane, my mom, and Bob. It was a very nice outing, and was well worth the time. Subsequently came back and crashed for about twentysomething hours, which was excessive and stupid and annoying.
Yesterday: Went to do a billion errands. Unpacked most of my room, deposited income tax refunds ($160), shipped my keys and Katy's DVD remote to her overnight, dealt with Other Bank Stuff, went to see Dr. Kanoff and got a new prescription so I can actually see what I'm doing and where I'm driving, stopped at Target on the way home and secured my summer job, which might be able to transfer me down to the Towson store for the school year, visited KHS and enjoyed myself, then got phoned to come over and play D&D, went to play D&D after straightening up my room some more, then hung out with Alexis and watched Juno, then crashed. Dead. Just woke up.
