I had an excellent weekend, first attending LFCC and spotting for Pickle in her Fever outfit, catching up briefly with Cookie and Zuki (in his very cool new suit) in the process.
It turned out that my pressing Pickle to have a chat with Terry Ackland-Snow (art director on a ton of cool films including Aliens and Labyrinth) paid off quite well, since he actually runs a course specifically designed for art direction etc. Looking at the website it's not exactly what Pickle is looking for, but she's going to give them a call and see what they can do, since as it's a 1 on 1 course with him they may be able to tailor things a bit more to her needs.
The LF Summer Party was smashing. The venue was large and nicely laid out, with a great fursuit lounge, although everyone seemed to have the same idea about being outside at the same time :P
The music was cool, and it's always a pleasure to have drinky sessions with godzuki , I should definately be doing that more often :)
It was also nice to see Outkast in such fine fettle for a change, she's been having a hard time of late and it's nice to see her smiling.
Someone else who was smiling a lot was Pinky, who was as usual at large amongst the general throng.
Delivered the main bits of Sierus's costume (head, arms and paws) which he was delighted with. It's always gratifying to see the customer enjoy what you've made for them, although the jaw wasn't closing completely so he's going to drop by next time he's in Brighton and I'll see if I can't make a few adjustments.
