These are the forms I use to set up my journals.

The General Info Post gets date-out-of-order'd at the top, with links to other posts that get posted normally.

For the contact post, I put an IC "Voice Mail" message from the character, and then this under it:
[ooc- This is an IC/OOC contact post. Reply here, or send a PM, if you need to get a hold of me.]

For the profile, I fill this out. For journals in a game, I add a section for "______-specific Info".
