But I can get why Nadia loved her dad. SO CONFLICTED. O_O This is complex, this subject. You've brought a lot to it.
She is a good person but the things that she has to live with and keep inside has taken a toll. I don't think ruined, more strained and restrictive. Very hard, then she gets soft with him but then berates herself for letting it happen. She feels that she shouldn’t ease up because he is the one in the wrong. But only she knows it and it casts her unfairly in a bad light.
