He bends down to whisper into her ear, his voice soft, "I have a gift for you, I'll give it to you later." She stares up at him and he quickly kisses her forehead and moves away before she can jerk back.

She smirks and dismissively looks him up and down, "you were lousy anyway."

:P :P I think she mostly just saying it to hurt him but yeah the sex with him back then meant more to her then just orgasms or lack of it. So if it wasn‘t that good she didn‘t let him know ;)

Anneal = something that goes through fire and becomes hard from the process.

And Maenad’s were female followers of Bacchus that went into a frenzy ;)

Both were mentioned in the fic so I got the title from that.

Just trying to hint at Maya's mind frame.

I liked it. I looked up both words before I asked.

I roughly relayed is as 'hardened follower'. IDK. That was lame though.

Poor Maya. I like that she doesn't give him any slack.

lol not a follower, I just wanted something that represented someone, a woman, being uninhibited, fierce and free and "disobeying" their "husbands."

She tries not to give him any slack but sometimes she does because well no one can be that enraged 100% of the time without going mad or giving themselves a heart attack.
