time machine....

Okay soo, it is 1967 and in Haight-Ashburry, things are amazing. People are studying Eastern Philosophies, getting high on LSD and playing pinball with the stars, and wanting (can't say fighting because its contradictory, and they didn't FIGHT... no, that was being taken care of...) to stop the horrible war (for no reason) in Veit Nam (Iraq...) and they had voices and they knew what was right and they knew together, they could make a difference. And everyone gathered for the first Be-In on January 14th, 1967 and Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters passed out turkey sandwiches and LSD. They had Allen Ginsberg, the beat poet, The Greatful Dead and Jefferson Airplaine there. It was "A Gathering of the Tribes" and they were gathered there declaring their right to just be.

Even think about the Ruck-sack Revolution where people hitch-hiked all over the country because they could. And to see wonderful country (and meet some very interesting people *see On The Road by Jack Kerouac*). And you can't do that now. You'll be killed, raped etc.... People are so angry now-a-days.....

So anyway, I guess what all this prattle is about, is the fact that things have changed from day to night over the last 50, 60 years, and I wish it could be like it used to be, in the 60's. We'll never have a time like that again because we were comming out of something so pure. We were like virgins to life. And if times changed that much over the last 50 years, think of how much things will change in the 50 years to come... If there even is 50 years to come.......
