Rikkus most notable feature is her eyes. She, along with the rest of the Al Bhed, possess greens eyes with a swirling pupil. This is unique to her race and the most distinguishing feature. Her hair is a sort of dirty blonde, bangs framing her face with two clips pushing it out of her face on the left, and her hair is up in a high ponytail. She has two braids in the back of her hair, tied off with feathers. Her shirt is orange with a semi ruffled collar, ending around her belly button and belted off at the sides, with two long blue tassle-like streams attached to the back. Around her neck she has a pair of goggles, and also a necklace with pink and orange beads. An orange belt hangs loosely around her waist above flared green shorts, trimmed with white ruffles. Around her right thigh is a pouch where she keeps all her alchemizing materials. On her right hand she has a glove with a red X on the hand, a black elbow guard, and on both arms a sort of green belted arm band on her upper arm. When she has a weapon attached, it goes over her right arm. On the left arm she has a heavy duty glove that goes up to her elbow. Her boots are black and tan with green belt accents, with two feathers similar to those in her hair hanging off the side with beads.
She also has another outfit, the Al Bhed combat diving suit. She will most likely use this during dangerous events, forging items, underwater diving, and facility 3 trips.

Rikku uses a claw as a weapon, and while her attacks aren’t too strong, she’s extremely agile and able to dodge away from most attacks. She also uses bombs and other types of explosives in battle, and can even craft them in battle by combining items for devastating results. She is also able to make potions and stat boosts in this way. Using her skill Copycat, she is able to imitate her enemies last move right back at them, within limits (ex she can’t use their limit break back at them). She is one of three characters in the main cast able to go underwater for long periods of time, however, it’s never specified whether they’re reaaallly good at holding their breath or if they can breathe underwater; my vote is probably holding their breath. Being one of the characters in the game with decent magic stats, she can learn basic magic skills such as cure, fire, water, blizzard, etc. She will never use thunder, however, due to reasons to be explained later!

She can dismantle machines and robots mid battle, and would go on diving teams underwater to salvage ancient machina from the days before Yevons teachings. In a_fac terms, she’d probably be the skill level of a B ranked hacker network-wise, with room to improve.
Personality: Rikkus personality is as bright as her outfit. Even in the toughest of situations, she remains kind-hearted, cheerful and energetic, even if her true feelings are the complete opposite. She is extremely optimistic, referring to anyone depressing or gloomy as ‘big meanies’, and can be considered rather childish and playful in ways, due to her young age. Her loyalties to family are extremely strong, as shown when she immediately devoted herself loyally to the protection of Yuna, her cousin she had only just met.
Despite her attempts to appear upbeat and cheery, there are times when this shell is cracked, and she has many insecurities. When she is upset, it is a stark contrast to her regular personality, almost as gloomy and pouty as the ‘big meanies’. Rikku is very unsure about her future and what she wishes to do with her life. Due to her loneliness at being the youngest child, she wishes to get married and have many children, so none of them will be alone and unhappy like she was. Due to her more childish nature and the many dangers of Spira causing couples to marry young, she expects to marry the first person she falls in love with.
However, Rikku is highly intelligent, skilled in chemistry, mechanics, weapon crafting, and fluency in two languages, English and Al Bhed. Most likely she will encode her messages with Al Bhed when she needs them to be encrypted and secret, and most likely when she slips into more ‘naughty’ language she will use Al Bhed. Also, she has the tendancy to use cute words and interesting newly invented words to describe things, such as the previously mentioned big meanies and calling a situation ‘disasterific’; she also has a habit of using ‘Y’know’ often when talking.
She also suffers from a bad case of astraphobia, the fear of lightning. When Rikku was young and playing in the ocean, she was attacked by a fiend (the name for monsters in her world), and in attempts to protect her, her brother cast a Thunder spell on the monster, shocking her as well in the process. It is also implied she has a fear of snakes, due to her protests and screams any time a battle is engaged with a snake-like monster.
History: Prior to the beginning of FFX, not much is known about Rikku. She is the daughter of Cid, the leader of the Al Bhed, and has an older brother named Brother.
When Tidus first arrives to Spira, he is trapped in an underwater cave, saved by Rikku and her posse as they enter to explore. She takes care of him, feeds him, and offers to take him to Luca, where she thinks he might be able to find someone he knows. However, they are separated after an attack by Sin, and she isn’t seen for a while in the game.
While Tidus travels as a guardian with Yuna and the others, they are attacked by Al Bhed machina, which they defeat. Tidus then finds Rikku washed upon shore, and she accuses him of hurting her and being a big meanie. She joins Yunas pilgrimage as a fellow guardian, and is the most adamant about her not completing it and summoning the final aeon. While traveling the party aims to pass through the Thunder Plains, sending Rikku into a major panic attack, clinging onto Tidus and begging them to find another way. When told by Auron she would be left behind if she didn’t come along, she had to muster up the courage to go along despite the risk of being hit by thunder, helping her take a step towards getting over her phobia (However, it is not until two years later she will successfully break it).
After she helps defeat Sin and everyone parts their separate ways, Rikku goes and travels the world to dig up ancient machina and teach the people of Spira how to use them, due to the teachings of Yevon being moot from that time forward. However, she always takes the time to go and visit her cousin Yuna at her home in Besaid, treating her like a big sister and encouraging her to come and adventure with her.

“Girls only! Boys go over there!” Rikku shooed Tidus away with a quick motion, giving him a sort of glarey-pout as she bounced from foot to foot. Successfully proving her point to the confused males, she directed Yuna and Lulu a few feet away, shifting nervously and clasping her hands together. “I, uhm…” The Al Bhed scratched the back of her head, looking down shyly. “Hi, uhm, I’m your cousin! Cids my dad and he was your mommies brother and all that so, y’know, that makes us related!” Oh, what a good way to introduce yourself! Gosh… She shook her head a little, trying to clear the jumbled thoughts out of her head. “Yunie, if it’s okay, I’d really like to be your guardian! I want to protect you and make sure you don’t get hurt…” Well that sounded better! “I just, I don’t want you to sacrifice yourself! I want to help you find another way…”
She'd never forgive herself if she let her flesh and blood die for a lost cause.

Y’know? ‘Cause Two heads are better than one and all that! Well, I don’t know how many people are weapon crafters, so one extra head is better than whatever amount of heads were there last?
Either way, I helped my friends by making all sorts of bombs and potions and helped craft weapons with all sorts of coolio abilities, so I think I would be useful! If that’s okay with you guys!
