What an October 28! Surely one of the better October 28 in recent memory. More about the Beck show in the morrow (...maybe), but here are some highlights:

- BECK
- Dancing with a Batman mask on, while excitedly singing along to "Express Yourself," "Anything, Anything" and "Boys Don't Cry"
- surly trick bike carny
- Lewd belt buckles
- FUDGE
- an impromptu Wal-Mart trip (always apppreciated)
- strong supporting roles from Lindsey's parents
- memorable cameos from Sacha and Matt, and Drew, and a key off-camera appearance from the inimitable Mitzie
- impressive character return for Amanda
- giant corn dog
- the Beckster doing THREE Sea Change songs, in a row, no less ("Guess I'm Doin' Fine," "Lost Cause," "The Golden Age")
- spirited car singalongs to "Common People," "Strangelove," "Call Me" and "Shadowboxer"
- like, the SCARIEST ride ever. the "Wind Surfer" or the "Wave Rider" or something like that. Lots of hanging upside down from a very high distance for what seems like way too long and then immediately being flipped around repeatedly. It wasn't even like, I was "AHHH! I'M SO SCARED!" I was just kind of like, "Hmm, well, I guess this is how I'm going to die. There are probably worse ways to go. And like, a ton of better ones."

Thumbs up.
