Creek to Bay with GVA
Hello GVA Members!
Don't forget that Saturday, April 24th is the annual Creek to Bay Cleanup! This is one of the biggest cleanup events in San Diego and showing our "Gothy" presence is vital in helping to convey our message to the community that we are valuable contributors, just like everyone else.
Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, bring a jacket or sweater and your SPF 2000. Water, gloves, trash bags and a limited amount of grabbers will be provided.
And yes, those who can not get to the beach at the crack of 9am are welcome to come later. Keep in mind that our beach is generally pretty clean now that there is a booze ban, so getting there early will ensure your productivity.
Directions:
Take Interstate 5 to Sea World Drive. Follow the signs to West Mission Bay Drive. Turn left on Mission Blvd. At the south end of Mission Blvd. turn right into the parking lot. BE SURE TO GO PAST THE ROLLER COASTER. We are at the end of the road on the right.
Public Transit:
Call San Diego Transit at (619) 233-3004 for buses that serve this beach.
Parking:
Extensive free public parking is available.
