I'd ask for another, except I'm silenced.

So Aralis was a downward spiral of Ross getting suspended from the guard, limbs shattered for his own good, driven mad by the Blood Forest, and the coup de grace- the Shadow Hunter- butchering his weak, broken form as he crawled across the ground, protected as much by the Blood Zombies as by the other townsfolk, the former who kept bringing him up ( Read more... )

Believe me a lot of effort was put out to try and take on the Shadow Hunter. Also strange to be healed by Ross...not sure what to think about that. Definitely has muddied Phoenix's outlook.

Be well.

The look on Phoenix's face was one of those classic moments of redefining things. As was healing Vireni.

I'm not sure what stats that thing had- it must have been GINORMOUS from what people have said.

I loved my charge through the backdoor of the guard house. That thing was huge though. Clearly, we must learn how to summon one for our own purposes :)

That was a pretty impressive charge, and nearly allowed me to escape into the woods (mmm, need more silences).

I think if we did a ritual to summon a Shadow Hunter against the other, the world would explode.

Only if we insisted that darkwhimsy play both of them ;)

We have the same idea. You're going to help contribute towards the extraplanar components, right? Right?

I think together we can scrounge up enough cash to fund this?

Well, 5th circle specialized extraplanar rituals are pretty powerful. Understanding the magnitude (probably the same vicinity, maybe slightly smaller , as a Void Elemental, except specialized in killing) + being tapped was why I mostly just despaired at seeing it.

No foul- there was certainly speculation as to whether a Shadow Hunter could take down a lesser Blood Panther, which put it in the ballpark of 'unstoppable'.

Now what happens when a Shadow Hunter gets Bloodmarked and then comes after us? That is the scariest!

Hush, man! The NPCs might be listening!

I think it wraps around, man. I think the Shadow Hunter just gets deeply confused, and then depressed, and then really angsty.

And I for one would find it hi-larious to see a Shadow Hunter angst out and try to pantomime its way through an impassioned "WTF, New Liberty? What did your CRAZY TOWN just DO to ME?! My parents will NEVER UNDERSTAND! You . . . you have to HELP ME!" speech. So hi-larious that I'd be willing to endure the barrage of "A Million Damage"s and "Death to You by Me"s that would punctuate such an occasion.
