Gotta Abandon NBC Methinks...

As you may have read in the past, even though I have Dish Network, I mainly watch my "local" channels over-the-air, because the picture is a LOT better... high-def even!

Well, the past couple of years, about the only thing I would watch regularly on the NBC network, local station KTVE, is the "NBC Nightly News". Stopped watching KTVE local newscast after they got rid of Griffin Scott, the most professional anchor they had.

Well, recently, the KTVE signal has been "fubar" during the "Nightly News". Pixelating, spitting, sputtering... and if there is a local weather alert they need to scroll on the screen, the national "Nightly News" reverts back to a standard def reception, and the volume level increases two-fold! It's not my equipment, because no other local station has those problems. It's obvious that the company that owns KTVE, "Nextstar"(sp?), spent very little, if ANYTHING, to upgrade the station for the digital switchover. That's the reason I've went "all CBS" for news in the 5-6pm central time hour. KNOE-TV 8 doesn't experience ANY of those problems!

Therefore, it's not Jay Leno keeping me from watching the NBC network, it's the local NBC affiliate, KTVE-10 in West Monroe! Hope they get bought out by a better company soon!
