Old Pretend Radio Memories
Listening to an episode of "The Tape and Record Show", the old "pretend radio show" I made (before my friends got involved)... "The Tape & Record Show: Episode 163. Broadcast Monday, October 13,1980 at 5:00pm central. Theme Music: Imperial March(John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra). "The Bickersons 10: Breakfast With John and Blanche " / "Peabody's Improbable History: Lord Nelson" / "The Bickersons 11: The Bickersons at Sea".
Back then, I'd switch out between records and cassette recordings for episodes, as listening during "broadcasts", rarely made a physical copy on cassette as a physical episode, so made recreations when I did the digitizations. The "Bickersons" recordings used for the "broadcast" at the time were from a Columbia stereo recreation of their old radio skits, so those segments sound better than the original TRSE theme music and the Peabody segment, which was taken from an off air audio recording of an airing of "The Bullwinkle Show" on local TV in the late 1970's. Still have The Bickersons album.
Still have all the handwritten 3x5 index cards with "broadcast" descriptions. Yes, I was nerdy then... and now.
