Darn Sales!
I told myself I was going to cut back on buying discs since the backlog of yet unwatched discs was getting taller, but darnit, Criterion had a 50% off sale, so I ordered their releases of "It Happened One Night"(1934) and "Romeo and Juliet"(1968) on Blu-ray.
The latter was shown in the West Monroe High School auditorium to our English class via a screen and a 16mm film projector in the early 1980's. Saw it again a few years later on HBO on cable TV. It is probably the closest version of the Shakespeare play to be filmed. The film would never be shown to students these days, due to the brief nudity we all noticed when we were watching.
