Physical Therapy

Had a physical therapy appointment early this morning at the hospital for my left arm. The physical therapist had me lift and extend my arm as far as I could without screaming, and took measurements. She then attached some sticky pads around my shoulder area, and connected them to a device that produced a kind of vibrating effect, which caused the muscles in my arm to contract. The machine ran for around 15 minutes, coming on a while every 10 seconds or so. During that time, a heated towel was draped over my shoulder.

After that was finished, she sent in another woman who went over some arm exercises they want me to try to do at least once daily. She also gave me papers with instructions for the exercises, for reference (my memory is terrible these days). The woman then applied something she called "biofreeze" to my shoulder area. Nothing they did today seemed to have helped the arm soreness. It's actually slightly MORE sore at the moment than it was, probably because of the movements they had me go through. I have another appointment next Thursday.

All that said... I'd get "physical" with that therapist given the opportunity. Yes, my mind stays in the gutter.
