BABY on board
Right, I wasn't supposed to say anything until now... but step-daughter Jenny is pregnant.... and we're all over the moon with the news. The baby is expected to be born in early December, just in time for Christmas. Don't know if it'll be a girl or a boy... it's in its 10th week or so right now, and Jenny got a scan picture just the other day. Looks like a wee peanut with stubs for arms and legs, just relaxing on its back in a little space pod. Actually, they said it was wriggling around quite a bit in there... I won't post the first picture here, but you'll be sure to see some pix after it has arrived.
There's been talk of names... maybe calling it after a Scottish island if it's a girl... Iona, Isla (how Islay is pronounced), or something like that... probably not Skye as we know a dog named Skye. And if it's a boy, there's always Eigg or Muck... Orkney maybe... (just kidding here).
And what will my new name be ? Gramps, or Grandpa Darrin has a ring to it. :-)
