Out of Time
For my Song Hall of Fame... "Out of Time" by the Rolling Stones
Wow, I only ever got Aftermath, the Stones album from 1966, a short while ago and already it's got three songs making it into my HoF. I actually thought this was a cover song, until I got the album, because the Stones sang a lot of covers early on, didn't they... and this sounded like it could've been originally done by someone else.... and as some guy named Chris Farlowe had put it out as a single, the version of which I was also familiar, I thought it was his.... But, whadayaknow, it's a Jagger/Richards song alright. And quite a good one. I like it whoever sings it, actually.
