For induction into Darrin's Recording Artist Hall of Fame, I give you.... Bill Monroe.
The "father of bluegrass", Bill Monroe's career spanned 60 years from the 1930's to the 1990's. He invented bluegrass music, named after his band "The Bluegrass Boys" which were named after the bluegrass state of Kentucky. A couple of his better known songs include "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and "Kentucky Waltz"... among many others that don't even MENTION Kentucky. Bill Monroe has been inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor, the Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as an "early influence." He received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award... and now THIS !!!!
