From Linda:
Vet called. This is a summary of what he said.... She's a little bit better than Monday. Not eating enough but being given hob calorie food. It's needing to be supplemented. She is losing weight. Still having drops in her eyes. He's not sure that she can see as there could be nerve damage. We think that she can. She's drinking and peeing. He had hoped for more improvement. He says they can get institutionalised which makes it harder to be a pet. We may bring her home tomorrow and check how she's doing on Saturday morning. Hopefully she'll feel better at home. If not, he said we might need to make difficult decisions, although not immediately. She's having liquid pain relief. There may be small fractures, but would mean complicated surgery which she wouldn't withstand at the moment. Also, it might not help much. They will support us at home. Everything won't be normal when she gets home (really? We're not stupid!!!) and we'll need to do stuff (duh!) We're meeting him tomorrow to talk about her. We've decided she's coming home. We can look after her as well, if not better, as we love her. We will try to give her the best possible chance. She'll be in a crate but she'll get lots of attention and she'll be brought out for cuddles. She'll also have her younger siblings who are missing her. She'll be warm and can look out the conservatory windows. Xx
