The Fifties on my list

So ... Back to this list of favourite recording artists. Last week I went thru a few changes in the top 50. Now to continue down the list.

It turns out the last time I evaluated my top 200 recording artists list was last July… exactly one year ago. I like to do this every year or two.

It used to be a top 100 list but I believe last year I expanded it. Made it a ranked top 50 list and then unranked groups of ten all the way down to 200.

Anyway, I want to see if there are any tweaks I can make… Normally, artists move up or down the list a maximum of two positions a year… and the unranked groups of ten will be like little football leagues where artists get promoted or relegated….

That’s the plan.

So, now I'm at the beginning of the groups of ten... The first group is rank 51 to 60. Who gets relegated and who gets promoted? Let's find out....

Rod Stewart gets promoted from the 51-60 bracket to position 49... Replacing Jerry Lee Lewis who has gone down from 49 to the 51-60 group.

Frank Sinatra gets promoted from the 51-60 bracket to position 50. Robbie Williams is relegated from 50 to the 51-60 bracket.

Neil Diamond is promoted up a group to the 51-60 bracket from the group of ten just below... Nat King Cole is relegated down a group to the 61-70 bracket from the 51-60 group.

Onward...

Blondie is promoted up a group to the 61-70 bracket

Paul Simon is relegated down a group to the 71-80 bracket

Dean Martin is promoted up a group to the 71-80 bracket

Janis Joplin is relegated down a group to the 81-90 bracket

Bing Crosby is promoted up a group to the 81-90 bracket

The Band is relegated down a group to the 91-100 bracket

Red Hot Chilli Peppers is promoted up a group to the 91-100 bracket

Marvin Gaye is relegated down a group to the 101-110 bracket
