Disney's Animal Kingdom
I'm way behind on chronicling our Disney trip in here. Only up to the 4th full day now... which was spent at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Linda and I meandered around with Ayla and Amelie getting various badges with them (stickers to put in a badge book)... listening to talks about plants and bugs and animals... gorilla badge, tiger badge, flamingo badge, etc etc... which was fun. Along the way, of course, we strolled around looking at some of the animals and the simulated African and Asian villages... Jenny, Andy and Adam went on a popular ride (without a fastpass, so it took a while)... based on the movie Avatar. After that, we all went on a little boat journey thru Avatar world (Navi River cruise). Andy, Jenny and Adam again split off and went on Expedition Everest rollercoaster while we walked with the little ones (in strollers). At the end of our time there, we all went on the Safari ride around the various animals... Giraffes, elephants, rhinos, hippos, etc. Really good time seeing all the animals.
Oh, nearly forgot... we also went to see the Lion King production they had, which was impressive.
Missed out on going on the Rapids ride as we got muddled on times that we were supposed to meet up. As mentioned before, as Amelie and Ayla couldn't go on the "fast" rides, most of the time we split up.
