What's going ahn
A little update of whatever is happening lately that I can think of....
Las night Linda and I went to a Buddhist meditation class for the first time. I haven't really meditated since the mid '80's.... and to be honest, I didn't find the session all that good. Wasn't comfortable. Wasn't into it. Bad frame of mind. Would rather do it by myself instead of with a bunch of people. The room was too small and the chairs were not comfy. Linda wants to do it again next week, but I sort of wish she would find someone else to do it with. When do I have time to meditate? At work? Where? In the morning? I'd have to get up a half hour earlier. We already go to the horse every morning, which takes time.
The blue car has been worked on and has now passed its MOT. The white car was in yesterday for its two year service. £££££ is leaking out of my bank account constantly.
Learners come in for induction week next week, here where I am a tutor. I won't have much to do with them until the week after. It'll be a strange semester as the numbers are way down. Not 100% clear who's teaching what, which is odd at this stage. I'm in a new office at work, which they've packed people into like sardines.... so it's all a bit weird. Not over-worked, tho.... so it could be worse...
What else ? I was over at Adam's yesterday and played FIFA football with him. I think it was the first time I beat him, so I was celebrating a bit, but Adam got upset that I did that so I had to apologise. I had kicked a goal in within the first few minutes and held on to my lead the rest of the game.
What else? My life is not that eventful, as normal... Oh, we're going to Disney World in Florida next April, so that's something to look forward to.
Oh, one last thing I thought of that's going on in my simple life... Fantasy NFL Football is starting up. I completely missed the draft, so I got random players given to me... a few good ones, but a few not. I've been dumping some and adding others. I've won the league for the past two years, so I'm quite competitive and would love to make it a threepeat.
