Name your 15 absolutely favorite couples/etc (het/slash/canon/fanon) and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples/etc. Try to pick different fandoms. I DON'T HAVE THAT MANY FANDOMS GAIZ.
Alright, I'll do the ones I fangirl'd the hardest for at the time that I liked them, because, uh, here's what my brain is right now:
SUPERNATURAL MIKE CARDEN THE SECRETS TRAVIS CLARK KEEPS IN HIS HAIR FOR IT TO BE SO BIG MISHA FREAKIN' COLLINS and all his wives RICHARD FREAKIN' SPEIGHT JR.
THA LIST:
*Note! Some of these are not active 'ships, as in, I don't actively read/write/think about them. They're just the pairings I find myself enjoying the most out of
1) Dean Winchester/Castiel, angel of the Lord (Supernatural), because wing!kink + car!kink + Misha Collins + Jensen Ackles = ???, but it's pretty. No, seriously, it's an absolutely fascinating pairing with the amount of things that can be done with it and the way that the characters morph over the course of knowing each other, and how obvious an effect the two of them have on each other. I mean, Cas was a straight-up, take-no-shit emotionless bastard when Dean met him, and Dean was...well, kind of a surly little bitch, but then they sort of morphed so Cas was kind of this...almost anarchistic 'fuck you brothers, I'mma go find Dad myself' guy who refuses to simply be a tool underneath the thumbs of the higher ups, and Dean...
Well, Dean's still kind of a surly little bitch, but he's a surly little bitch in a different way.
2) John Winchester/Mary Winchester (SPN), because JDM and Mary's kickass. Also, after she's killed, John is so broken up that the only thing he can think of is vengeance. Their story is very sad to me because I'm so confident that Mary would have been a fucking fantastic mom, John would have been an awesome dad, and the boys would have turned out normal. Is it weird that, even though it would mean the show never existed, I kind of wish that YED never came into the picture?
Also I'm not buying that BS that if YED never happened the boys would be estranged and Dean would be some kind of crazy drunk and Sam an overly uptight lawyer. I just don't see that being them ever. I mean, what glimpses we get into the boys' younger selves, Dean and Sam obviously care a lot about each other. I don't think that wouldn't have happened without Mary's death, but they may have been...less douchey towards each other, I think, if she'd been around.
3) Gabriel/EVERYBODY EVER (SPN), because GABRIEL. No, but really, I find Gabriel to be a really interesting character because he's not exactly bad, but he's not exactly good either. And unlike the other angels, he's not solely interested in himself. I mean, "Mystery Spot", he was doing all of that to show Sam that, y'know, he's going to have to get on without Dean. It's pretty obvious he's pretty compassionate, he's just kind of an embittered asshole too. And he's got such a twisted sense of humor that you have to just LAUGH at it. That "Nutcracker" thing? LOLARIOUS.
Also he ditched on Heaven when he saw the shit that was starting to go down and instead posed as a Pagan god, and I refuse to accept that this is not true. Refuse.
4) Jo/Taggart (Eureka), because the one glimpse we get of them as a couple, they're a very loving couple. Also they're BFFs and I feel like they could be great together, BUT NO, WRITERS WON'T GIVE ME THAT SATISFACTION. HUMPH WRITERS HUMPH.
5) Zoe/Lucas (Eureka), because Vanya Asher Lucas is such a sweetie pie and Zoe really helps to bring him out of his shell, and Zoe is kickass and they are a very grounding and romantic influence on what can sometimes be an overly scientific show. The other romances...I dunno why, they just seem kind of forced, more adult-oriented, and always seem to come more out of problems and as a way to resolve issues within the characters themselves or to create tension or just because the writers decided that the show needed some spicing up, let's stick Carter and Allison together and see what comes out, than being born out of genuine affection for one another. I mean, Lucas could very easily have just become part of the background of Zoe's life, maybe mentioned once or twice in later episodes, but she chose to give him a second chance because his attitude is so different from everyone elses in town.
TL;DR: I just want to smush them both always.
6) Juno/Bleeker (Juno), because they are one of the most realistic fake!couples I've ever seen. The fights they have are fights I would have in that given situation, but in the end they're so compatible with each other that they can't deny their love any longer.
No, wait, I take that all back. Ellen Page + Michael Cera = *girlboner*, that's the real reason.
7) Ten/Rose (Doctor Who), because...well, why not? She basically gave her life to him, he teaches her everything he knows because he want her to learn, and she in turn grounds him, gives him a human's point of view in everything. She's not like Martha, who's almost too much like the Doctor to be good for either of them, but she's not like Donna, who's very much a completely different person from him. Both of those relationships show different sides of the Doctor, but there's a reason neither of them has the same intimacy, attraction, UST or chemistry as does the one between Rose and Ten.
8) Eleven/Amy (Doctor Who), because he's a brand new Doctor, completely different from Ten. A bit more compassionate, a lot more curious, he's less concerned with saving everyone, doing the right thing, etc. etc. than Ten was; he's been there, done that already, and now he's looking to have a little bit of fun. The COMPANION, here, is the voice of reason, the one who says, "Hey, maybe we shouldn't do that," but at the same time she's a very intuitive and intelligent girl (also she's smokin', doesn't hurt) who, surprisingly, sometimes figures things out before the Doctor himself. And yet, she still needs him and his vast wealth of knowledge, because although she appears to be better equipped for logicking things out, she needs the smarts and the story behind things before she can put all the pieces in place, and when her brain fails her and her much weaker human side falls in, she has the Doctor to fall back on. They have a very symbiotic relationship where one does not provide the flipside for the other, like a lot of the other companions did for Ten, but instead they feed off each other and become better for it.
9) Charlie Weasley/Nymphadora Tonks (Harry Potter, obscure pairing is obscure), because 1) it's hot and 2) it just feels like it works so well. I mean, they're both fun-loving and vivacious people who are sort of pushed to the background in favor of the more useful people (because a girl who can change the way she looks and a guy who knows his way around a dragon have their uses, certainly, but in a fight against the Ultimate Evil they fall into a relatively background role), and I can just imagine they'd get on really well. They're both adventurous and a little out there, and I think if maybe they'd had the chance for their relationship to develop, there would NOT be a werewolf in the equation. I really really really really REALLY hate the fact that Lupin/Tonks is canon
10) Sophie/Howl (Howl's Moving Castle), because, although I really only see this well in the Miyazaki version, the reasons for it are present in the book, too. Basically, these are two of the most stubborn people EVER, who are forced to live together and stubbornly end up altering themselves without realizing until they eventually find themselves falling in love.
11) Lady Gaga/Beyonce, because the "Telephone" video.
12) Jared Padalecki/Jensen Ackles, because
these videos.
13) Mike Carden/Kevin Jonas, because LOL CRACK. And also the community is so supportive and lovely and everyone is made of delight and KEVIN JONAS IS MADE OF RIDICULOUSNESS. Also I approve of anything with Mike Carden.
14) Cid Highwind/Vincent Valentine, because there is such a distinct connection between them; Shin-Ra took their lives and their dreams away from them. They have that connection right off the bat, and then they seem to hit it off very well even after.
15) MFK/Me. No, I don't have another one I can think of.
I can spot a couple of patterns right off the bat, but I'll let others figure that'n out.

OH SPEAKING OF SUAREZ AND RYLAND. I love this song irrationally and I don't know why.
We the Kings - Heaven Can WaitAND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. This is a very sweet song and, though it doesn't do anything OMFG AMAZING musically, it is pretty well composed, Travis' voice is amazing, as always. AND ALSO DOGS.
Oh man, I love this song. I love this band. I just love everything about it. The whimsical imagery it provides and yet the almost bitter tone to it. I love how almost every song I've heard of Train's where it's a love song has such a strong female character in it. My inner feminist cheers, but at the same time there's so much love in it that my inner girl swoons.
And, there's more, but uh. I think that's enough for now. ._.
TL;DR ILTHIS AND ALL IT STANDS FOR.
Also lololol ow sunburn on my kneeeeeeee. IHU driver's-side tans. >:(
