i hate my computer. i just wrote a two page long entry and it froze and deleted it all.
i'm back in town.jamaica was incredible. so many amazing things happened there. God really met me there and helped me out and blessed me with the people i met there, as well as with the peacefulness of the whole trip. the team i went with was awesome. the lehmans were really nice and so easy to talk to, and rebekah was cool in her own quiet, wise way. the kids at the vacation bible school were really really fun. i got flea bites the first week. we had cold showers. everything there made me realize how blessed i really am to live here with everything i have, starting with material goods, and also just the chance to be a christian and be so open about it and having people to support me. i am now thinking a little more seriously about the one year ministry opportunity that was presented to me and i think i wanna take it. see what God has in store for me. while we were in jamaica, we hung out with this medical team at the school where we were staying. these people had taken time out of their lives, including high school and college kids, as well as 60 year old nurses, to go out there and provide practically free health care to these people. it was so humbling and exciting to see that there are people like that out there. very encouraging.
i've been for about two weeks now. i started working at chartway this past week. it's a real job. full time, benefits and all that junx. i get to wear a shirt and tie and carry a coffee mug around. it's fun. it's been a little challenging this week with all the material we've had to take in for training, but there's other people that have done it, and i can do it too. i'm planning on moving up in that company. i'm not gonna get stuck being a teller for 13 years.it's been a weird week. amanda left for oru on friday so that was no fun. it's all in God's hand so i'm really not that worried about it though.
