A few of our friends are coming over tonight after supper. I was supposed to do grocery shopping anyway, and was wondering what to do for snacks. I am not a snack person, so it always boggles me, but I have finally learnt that I must provide them for guests. (Slow learner.)
All week, besides putting of the groceries at night because I was too achy by the time the car was home. (We all know I am not biking at the moment, right,) the plan was to combine PO trip with groceries. Except I sure did not feel like it. There was no way to Not go to the PO, but I decided I did not quite care enough about our meals to buy ingredients for them :P I even decided to walk.
Then my lovely hubby called as I left the PO to ask me to be sure I bought salami and other Russian approved stuff. (Plus I have veggie stuff for the two vegitarians :P) So, I walked to our old neighbourhood to find these items, and then home. It was too much. Especially since I ended up filling my [big cotton] bag to the bursting and heavy point.
At home the first thing I did was to soak in a hot bath. Then I did actually clean up and vacuum. Mopping didn't seem so important though.
I was sad to hear from another friend today. For a week or two I was suprised not to have any responses to my emails because she is fast about them. I suggested I stop by tomorrow since I'd be near, and she wrote back. It turns out her appendix burst over a week ago, and she only left the hospital yesterday :/ It was a mess.
Dima said notot send flowers because that isn't what they do??? ...and that she'd find it odd. Mum and I disagree, and I especially think she would like the gesture since so few people ever do something like that for her. Gads, her lovely hubby never bothered to let anyone know she was ill! (I don't exactly think too well of him for a reason I should not share.)
Hopefully she is mending well.
Well, I must go then. Time to make salads.
Oh, and I *still* did not wash my hair, but it seems okay for some reason I cannot tell. It may be because I keep dipping it in EO baths at night.
