It was LOoooooong! day. I woke at 6:30 with insomnia after a bad dream, bleh. We went to bed at two no less. I gave in a stayed up since Dima wanted to take a quick early morning trip to the beach.
Dramaz ensued.
I sewed the rest of the day away. Truly little was 'accomplished' per se, but I knew I'd have to spend hours perfecting &"%$/&()&· silky @ss charmuse hems soon enough. It is all good on a straight grain, but soon I'll have the dreaded curves in spades... and it had been a while. Of course, the techniques evolve and improve with hours too, and I wanted to have that past.
The new treadle base is awesome! It was feeling like a bad decision until today. The way it lined up with the carpet made the needle stick in the Worst position, but today I bought rubber feet cups for the vibration and height. Now it doesn't bottom out, and the control is now far superior to the previous base! yay!
I took a photo of the pitman rod. This one is made of wood! Before, I liked the invincibilty of the metal one, but this base runs as they were meant to. The patent stamp on the pitman is May something, 1884 as I recall. I have to check precisely.
Also, 3Gs is jailbroken and unlocked. neat-o.
