one week has passed
Hello hello:D I'm back again after 1 whole week, even though I told myself to blog on monday, tuesday, wednesday. Then I gave up telling myself to blog cos I knew I just woudnt. Last sunday was a fun fun day at Sentosa(: Will blog that another day cos I've saved it (it's a damn long entry) in my thumbdrive, with lots of photos to update! Haha.
Work this week was unbelievably and ridiculously free! :OOOO My goodness, it was absolutely insane, we were even begging (yes,begging) for work to do. Every morning, we would have nothing to do by 11. Our morning work involves finding work to do in the afternoon. In the afternoon, we would drag our work for as long as possible, by 3 we would have given up and would be talking at the filing cabinets area, holding something to cover up just in case some underwriter walked past. It was so funny, cos we were all like that. Every 10 minutes someone would ask, "Eh got anything to do?" Then the answer would be "No. Shh." Haha, damn funny cos we would all be trying to hide this from the underwriters. We apparently finished everything we're supposed to do. It was so ridiculous that it got to the stage of though we've checked the boxes status 1 million times, vivien still asked us to er "Go through the boxes again la." You can tell how desperate we were:D:D
The filing cabinet area is now the slacking area. Me, dee, weekiat, calvin and daniel would permanently be stationed there, pretending to be rumaging through files or pretending to be busy. Pretense, its all staged la. Haha. We were so free that we rededorated all the box numbers and dee and I created our own LCA from scratch on one of the days:D hahaha. On other days, we spent half the day literally talking, taking photos and watching out that underwriters wouldnt catch us. And this happened throughout the week. On thursday, I created my own personal record. I spent 2 hours and 15 minutes stapling a stack of papers that would have usually taken me 30 mins or less. Ohmy(: Everyone was like "Well done.":D Im proud of myself though cos I manged to occupy my afternoon. By evenings, we would all go out to post and take like forever to come back. Haha.
On wednesday we all were worried that Florence would transfer us to HQ cos we were toooo free. Haha. Oh, Florence is an underwriter who is very amazing because although she's super nice, she has this natural ability to instill fear in us. And yesterday we all decided to wear RED:) We looked like a) people going on a strike or b) national day goers. Hahah. Can you imagine 9 of us in all red?!
Speaking of Florence, yesterday we were alll at the filing cabinet taking photos for fun (in secret); camwhoring for like more than half an hour and suddenly calvin went, "Florence." Then we ALLLL disappeared before you could count to 3:D Hahahaha. That scene was so priceless, it should have been captured down. Dee & I felt like stars ytd haha:D Cos joycie, weekiat and calvin had their cameras facing us and they asked us to give 10 stupid faces (which we are so pro at). But we ended up taking more and entertaining them, esp with our (disgusting) exotic face:D Hoohoo. Yesterday was so waste time too, we spent like an afternoon discussing about our barbecue, talking, camwhoring & camwhoring MORE. And the best thing is, we're earning money for that. But its not that we are slacking, its just that we do everything too quickly that we have nothing to do!:O But thats why I kind of like work too, theres nothing to do!
Im looking forward to our bbq:D I like my colleagues many many.
On a more non-work related note, yesteray was my my papas birthday!:) What happened was I woke up in the morning at 6.15 (yes I did!) and ordered in macs breakfast for him, my mum and me. Then when my father sent my brother to school the macs breakfast came and we did the table nicely and played nice music, so that when he came home he got a surprise! x) Then we ate our nice macs birthday breakfast, then I went for work. Then at night, I met my family for dinner at bak kut teh. Had another surprise cos I called along Uncle BT & family (my father's closest friends) for dinner without his knowledge. So we were there and just ordered our food when they arrived. And Uncle BT was like "Eh Alfred!" And my father, who is so suaku, instead of acting or being surprised, went "What a small world! You here alone or with your family?" Hahaha.
BT: No, with my family. A church member of yours recommended this place for us.
Father: Oh really.
BT: We join you for dinner ah.
(Moments later)
BT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY. No la, actually your daughter here called us to come.
(Then my father realises its a surprise.)
Tell me why adults are so bad at giving surprises? Plus my mummy totally couldnt act (inexperienced la). Hahah. Im so glad that my father enjoyed the dinner cos I could tell that both him and Uncle BT were happy, esp with the food:D haha. I ended up giving the treat. Then both families drove over to my house for another surprise. When my dad opened to door, the house lights were off and there was a lighted birthday cake on the table. Guess who? ME & TEEDEE! x) Hahaha. Brilliant surprisers right. Hahaha, im so proud of myself and I think my father was happy:D

Ohohoh, and not to forget, dee and I were both accepted into NTU & SMU business school alr :D Wheeeee. So exciting. And to think that last year we were so scared that we couldnt get into the same uni & course. Hahaha. We are so freaky.
