Everyone's here to read about games, right? If not, too bad! I just beat
Jade Empire for the second time recently on the Path of the Closed Fist (evil ending). My first run-through was on the Path of the Open Palm (good ending). It's a wonderful game with martial arts mayhem, vivid characters, excellent dialogue, memorable scenes, and a hot bisexual ninja! Unfortunately, it's also woefully short. When I went through the game for the second time, I skipped a lot of the cinematics and my played time clocked in at just under eleven hours. (My first playthrough with the game was in the seventeen - eighteen hour range.) I have a great time playing and beating games like God of War and Jade Empire, and I don't want to take away from their overall greatness and fun factor, but I really wish designers had more leisure to sit down and really make a product shine and extend gameplay. The last time I played a non-MMO game that took more than twenty hours to beat was Final Fantasy X, I think.

Also, this weekend is shaping up to be a blast. I'm sure
staedtler and I will come back with many a fun anecdote!
