Arf.
I was supposed to be productive today but instead I sat around and watched the In Living Color marathon on BET, went out and ate far too much for dinner, and finally stayed up late for Chinese New Year. I think it was worth it.
It's fun to mingle in the local Chinese community as a (sort of) single guy. I meet all the criteria for matchmaking purposes: I come from a good family, I respect tradition, I'm fairly bright, personable, and I have these clasically handsome Asian features (or so I've been told many many times). So I get to watch Chinese girls trip over themselves lining up to talk to me, or people are dragging me around by the arm to introduce us. I also realize this is the best-looking and fittest I've been since I was twenty-one. I always thought my best years were behind me, but a new haircut, some nice clothes, and a little diet and exercise will work wonders for you. I guess this is why I never really worried about being single, I can always find a nice Chinese girl to settle down with (or have one found for me).
Some things never change.
