John is not sure if he is really awake or still dreaming. He blinks, but the view does not change.
He even pinches his own arm and as that certainly hurts, he must be awake.

But how is that possible? There is only one way to find out.

"Sherlock?" John asks timidly and Sherlock hums, indicating that he is listening without looking up.
"Are you reading Sleeping Beauty?"

Sherlock hums an affirmation, turning one page of the children's book in his hands, his eyes never leaving the words.
John blinks again and also pinches himself again. Yep, still awake.

"Why?" John asks next, to which Sherlock only responds with. "Why not?"

Not knowing what to say to that (without it sounding like an insult at least), John remains quiet and just watches Sherlock reading for a few minutes.

"Sherlock?" John asks timidly and Sherlock hums. "Can you read it to me?"

Slowly Sherlock takes his eyes from the book and looks at John's hopeful expression.
He remembers the hours he spent reading to his sleeping blogger and the moment when John finally woke up after listening to his music.

Without a word Sherlock closes the book and then opens it again at the first page, noticing John's eager smile.
In his melodic, deep voice, Sherlock starts to read from the beginning.
