Ooh! That was excellent! I love that Smith was 'hoist with his own petard'. Good for Holmes for figuring out what Watson was talking about in time to save him. For a few minutes, I was afraid this was going to be a death fic.

Thank you so much for sharing. I really enjoyed it.

Smith definetely deserved what he got. :)

And even though death stories are very often awesome, I do not like the "finality" of these stories.

Furthermore, I always cry. ^_^"

Poisoners are brought low by their own poison. :)

As long as the poison is veeery painful or otherwise Holmes would have done something more "creative". :)

"Knowing that Holmes is able to murder ruthlessly or knowing that Holmes murders for him."
Now, THAT has some kick to it!

Agreed, that was an unexpected touch near the end of the story :)

Well done!

Thank you both; originally I had a (more) happy ending in mind but somewhere in the middle I got the idea for that sentence/moment and was not able to resist. ^^

*shiver* Wow. I can't decide whether to be horrified at Holmes or give him another knighthood.

And well done on those drabbles! *is in awe*

It's really difficult to decide.
On the one side I can easily understand the need and lust for revenge and there is justice in that a bad man as to endure what he did to others.

On the other side it is a crime; it's still cold and brutal murder.

Even though Holmes always stayed near the side of justice and what is right; I shudder thinking about what Holmes would have been capable of doing if he just took a few more steps towards the abyss (like he did here).

It is a horrible and - I have to admit - a fascinating thought...

Thanks. ^-^ The drabbles were quite stressfull, but I was surprised to evolve a feeling for them. I was always about three words missing or three words over when I first counted the words for each one.
Also it was very frustrating how often it was only one word too much or missing.
