The guy who is next shift at the security desk is LATE and I have to pee.
1) Total volume of music files on my computer?
iTunes: 33.54 GB (8520 songs)
Wmas/Movs/Mpgs: 166.9 MB (42 songs)
Total: 8562. And I have 6 data cds of music I burned off to save space, heh.
2) The last CD I bought was...
"Music for Egon Schiele" by Rachel's, because I have become an old woman who listens to sleepy music. It's pretty. Pretty like the pianoooooooo. :)
3) The last song I listened to before writing this was...
iTunes says "The Punk Singer" by Julie Ruin. I think I was asleep. Now I'm listening to "Truth" by the Handsome Boy Modeling School.
4) Five songs I listen to a lot or/and that mean a lot to me...
- Elvis Costello's "My Mood Swings." I dunno, I just love it. A lot. Costello's my guy.
- "For the Widows In Paradise, For the Fatherless In Ypsilanti" by Sufjan Stevens. It's one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.
- Jack Johnson's "Thicker Than Water" instrumental. Very sentimental.
- "A Life of Possibilities" by the Dismemberment Plan. My second favoritest band evers. I'm so excited for the Travis Morrison concert GEE WHIZ!
- "She Sends Kisses" by the Wrens. The Wrens are epic, in the most modest of ways. I can't think of anything caliber to say which is why I suck and the Wrens do not. I can't wait for the
documentary. 5) Which five people are you passing this baton to, and why?
Uh, everyone's done already practically, cause I'm slow, but here goes:
-
lasheremaleth (Her lj entries are a whirlwind of bands I'm never heard of, it's cool.)
-
life_in_m0n0 (She's elitistly-awesome and I miss hearing from her)
-
rapehat (She made me reexamine my distaste for electronica and ambient and realize I just hate BAD electronica and ambient.)
-
plusfiveanger (I doubt she'll see this, but our tastes are pretty in line, and most things she recs I like)
- and
dinanimo (Because it's Diana.)
